The Progressive Education in Action Speakers Series at The Children's School is dedicated to providing the TCS school and broader Chicagoland commnunity with events and conversations featuring leading experts on important topics related to progressive education. This school year we have had events centered such as project- and problem-based learning (Why Do Projects? Project-Based and Problem-Based Learning Across Grade Levels and School Settings) as well as issues related to diversity and social justice (Never Too Early: Talking with Children about Race and Diversity).
The third event in the speaker series for this school year is incorporated into the Progressive Education Network Regional Conference hosted by The Children's School. Along with 15 concurrent sessions related to the conference theme is Educating for Diversity and Inclusion, Tom Little, Head of School at Park Day School in Oakland, California will be given the Progressive Education in Action Keynote, "The State of Progressive Education in America".
